Ophelia Plum boarded a train
Her dream was to sit, and stare at the rain
From a cozy booth in a little café
On the shores of great Windemere.

She arrived around noon to a lovely gloom
And was just sat down in her cozy booth
When the winds whipped up and the gloom gave way
To the sunniest day of the year.

Well, she raged and she cried and she cursed the blue sky
And she gave such a fright to the manager guy
That not really knowing what else to do
He hit the fire alarm.

So, the sprinklers sprinkled and the sirens made sound
And the people outside gathered right ‘round
And stared through the window as the rain came down—
